Already Have a Working SYNC 3 APIM?
You don't need a replacement APIM just to go wireless. If your current system is compatible and running SYNC 3.4, you can purchase the wireless USB-C hub on its own.

Factory navigation uses navigation-capable APIM hardware, so select that option when ordering. Smartphone navigation through compatible CarPlay and Android Auto apps remains available without factory navigation.
Genuine OEM Ford SYNC 3 Hardware
We supply genuine North American OEM Ford SYNC 3 APIMs—not aftermarket replicas or clones. Modules are professionally tested and configured for your vehicle.
You do not need to match every character of your original APIM engineering number. We select a compatible replacement for your application. The unit received may have a different OEM part number or minor physical differences from the product photos.
Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
With the required compatible USB hub, your factory SYNC 3 system supports wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, music, calls, messages, Siri, Google Assistant, and supported apps.

Important Information for 2016 Vehicles
When retaining the original hub, we provide the latest compatible SYNC software for that configuration rather than automatically installing SYNC 3.4. Android Auto may still work with the original compatible 2016 hub.
If you want SYNC 3.4 and Apple CarPlay, a compatible USB hub upgrade is required. Our optional wireless USB-C hub is one possible choice where compatible; please verify vehicle fitment and wiring before ordering.

A professionally tested, VIN-programmed replacement module with the latest compatible software for your selected configuration.
APIM ONLY: Touchscreen, USB hub, GPS antenna, cables, and other components are not included unless explicitly selected or stated. The optional wireless USB-C hub is supplied only when added through the product options.
Plug & Play Installation
Remove the existing APIM from behind your factory SYNC 3 touchscreen, install the replacement module, and reconnect the factory-style connectors. Your existing touchscreen and other compatible SYNC components are reused.
No cutting, no splicing, and normally no dealer programming. If you also purchase the wireless hub, installation of that accessory is a separate step.
