This upgrade is designed for vehicles currently equipped with factory SYNC 2 / MyFord Touch with the 8-inch touchscreen.

If your vehicle does not currently have the factory 8-inch SYNC 2 system, please contact us before ordering so we can help determine the correct upgrade for your vehicle.

Note: Active Park Assist is not supported after the SYNC 3 conversion on certain Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ.

Professionally refurbished OEM screen with a new digitizer. Your existing SYNC 2 mounting brackets are transferred to the replacement screen.

3. OEM APIM-to-Screen Cable
Genuine OEM connecting cable.

4. Upgraded OEM USB Hub — New
Supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

5. GPS Antenna — New
High-quality GPS antenna for proper positioning and navigation functionality.

6. USB Hub Wiring Adapter — New, if required
Connects the vehicle's existing USB wiring to the upgraded hub.

7. OEM USB Hub Bezel/Adapter — New, if required
Included for vehicles equipped with the larger original USB hub opening.

Everything required for your specific application is selected based on your vehicle configuration.

Plug & Play Installation

The kit is designed for a straightforward plug-and-play installation with no cutting or splicing of the factory wiring.

Remove the existing SYNC 2 components, transfer the required factory brackets, install the supplied SYNC 3 components and reconnect the factory-style connectors.

Because we program the APIM before shipping, you don't need to figure out complicated vehicle programming after installation.

Optional Factory Navigation

Factory navigation is available as an option when ordering.

The navigation-equipped SYNC 3 APIM uses different hardware from the non-navigation version, so factory navigation generally cannot simply be added later through a software update.

If you're undecided, we recommend considering the navigation-equipped version when purchasing your kit.

Factory navigation provides onboard maps for the United States, Canada and Mexico and can be particularly useful when traveling through areas with poor cellular coverage or where smartphone GPS reception may be limited.

You can still use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto navigation apps whenever you prefer.
