This is the additional charge for programming Sync 3 APIM modules for the 4" to 8" conversion. Only buy this when purchasing a Sync 3 APIM or Sync 3 Screen/APIM bundle from me. Any purchases without a qualifying purchase will be refunded.
With this purchase you will also receive by e-mail programming files for your ACM/Audio Control Module/Receiver and/or your FCIM/Screen Bezel module if required. I will program your APIM before shipping. You will need to install these using a OBD2/USB cord and a program called FORScan. You will receive instructions in the e-mail on how to use this software.

Additional programming to your Central Configuration (CC) might be required if you have an Escape or Focus, I can't e-mail you a program file for this, so you will need to do this manually. Instructions will be provided.

I had done the 4 inch to 8 inch swap (DIY) with a parts set I got off eBay in my 21 mustang GT base. Almost had all of the features working, but for the life of me, I could not figure out what setting to change to get the volume repeater, GPS voice, and equalizer settings working as they should. I finally gave up, and got in contact with Mitral. Payed the small fee, and after he custom built new As-built data set, sent it via email (with detailed instructions), I had the new As-built data installed in less than half an hour. Now everything is working exactly as it should! I would highly recommend this service for any DIYer.
