Plug & Play Conversion

There is normally no need to cut or splice your factory wiring.

Already Have a 12" Screen?
This kit is intended specifically for trucks being converted from the factory 8-inch system to the 12-inch system.
If your truck already has the factory 12-inch display and you are experiencing a SYNC/APIM problem, contact us for the appropriate replacement instead.
Important Navigation Information
Every kit includes a navigation-capable OEM Ford SYNC 4 APIM.
However, Ford's SYNC 4 connected navigation functionality can require an active Ford navigation subscription.
Without an Active Navigation Subscription
The factory navigation map may still display and show the vehicle's current location, but features such as:

Route guidance

Point-of-Interest search

Certain connected navigation services
may not be available.
Navigation Subscription Availability
Because the 12-inch system is being retrofitted into a truck that was not originally configured with that specific APIM, Ford may not allow a connected-navigation subscription to be activated for every converted vehicle.
For this reason, we cannot guarantee that Ford's paid connected-navigation service can be activated after the conversion.
Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Are Not Affected
This limitation does not prevent you from using wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
You can continue using:
Apple Maps • Google Maps • Waze
and other compatible navigation apps through the 12-inch display without a Ford navigation subscription.
Important SYNC 4 Software Information
Please read this section before purchasing.
The supplied OEM SYNC 4 APIM may have different Ford software versions depending on the module available for your conversion.
At this time, future APIM software updates cannot be guaranteed or supported with this retrofit.
Because Ford has released different SYNC 4 software versions over time, the exact interface and available software features may vary slightly between modules.
The system will provide the core functionality associated with a factory 12-inch 2021 F-150 SYNC 4 system, but newer features introduced by subsequent Ford software updates may not be available.
If a particular SYNC 4 software feature is important to you, please contact us before ordering.
