Professionally Programmed for Your Vehicle

Every SYNC 3 APIM is programmed to your vehicle’s VIN and factory configuration before shipping, helping retain supported factory features.

No additional programming is normally required. Install the supplied hardware and enjoy SYNC 3.

Note: Active Park Assist is not supported after conversion on certain Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles.

Apple CarPlay & Android Auto

Connect a compatible smartphone to access Maps and navigation, music, phone calls, messaging, Siri or Google Assistant, podcasts, and compatible apps on the factory touchscreen.

The included USB hub supports wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Connect your compatible smartphone using a USB cable.

Genuine OEM Ford Hardware

We use genuine North American OEM Ford SYNC 3 components, not aftermarket replica APIMs or screens. Your system retains the factory appearance, fit, and supported integration.

Professionally refurbished genuine OEM module, VIN-programmed and loaded with the latest applicable SYNC 3 software.

2. OEM Ford 8-Inch SYNC 3 Touchscreen
Professionally refurbished OEM screen with a new digitizer. Transfer your existing SYNC 2 mounting brackets.

3. OEM APIM-to-Screen Cable
Genuine OEM connecting cable.

4. New USB Hub
Standard USB hub for wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto included.

5. New GPS Antenna
For proper positioning and navigation functionality.

6. New USB Hub Wiring Adapter, if required
Connects existing vehicle USB wiring to the upgraded hub.

7. New OEM USB Hub Bezel/Adapter, if required
For vehicles with the larger original USB hub opening.

Everything required for your specific application is selected based on your vehicle configuration.

Plug & Play Installation

Designed for straightforward plug-and-play installation without cutting or splicing factory wiring. Remove the SYNC 2 components, transfer the required brackets, install the supplied SYNC 3 components, and reconnect the factory-style connectors.

The APIM arrives programmed before shipping.

Optional Factory Navigation

Factory navigation is available when ordering. Navigation-equipped APIMs use different hardware from non-navigation units, so factory navigation generally cannot be added later by a software update.

Onboard maps cover the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto navigation apps remain available with either option.
